Duong Thi Phuoc is an ethnic Nung studying in grade 2 in Song Ray commune, Cam My district, Dong Nai province. Her family is living in a dilapidated house on impoverished land that can not grow anything. Both her parents are also hired laborers by cassava processing for low income workers. Sometimes they are jobless and their life feels miserable. Phuoc is busy taking care of her two younger sisters. She takes advantage of their nap hour and tries to use this time to study; this, with her only hope that if she studies well she will become a teacher. |
