At Saigon Children’s Charity (SCC), we are lucky to frequently witness the children we support, undertake challenges with great success for themselves and their families.
This autumn, we are particularly impressed and inspired by three groups of young people and children – but these are not our beneficiaries, these are our sponsors!
In November, 12-year-old Charlotte Lau participated in our annual event ‘Charity Cycle Adventure’ – a 211km long cycling trip from Hue to Hoi An that included a grueling stretch up the Hai Van pass! Thanks to Charlotte and her group of 17 other fundraising riders, the event raised a fantastic 29,315USD!
Another group of young people got on their fundraising wheels! The D2 to Year 5 children at Australian International School partook in a mini-cycle adventured organised by teacher and SCC friend, Craig Eldred, when they walked, ran, rollerbladed and cycled laps around their school – and raised 2,700USD!
We are also happy to ask all HCMC children, parents and child-supporter from near and far to the Saigon Cyclo Challenge on 10th March. We are now open for sponsorship and hope to see as many enthuastic teams as we previously have. Please see more information here.
