Goodbye Paul
-
Hello Paul
On Friday 15 June the Trustees
of Saigon Children’s Charity threw a farewell party
to mark the achievements of Paul Cleves, retiring Director
of SCC.
HE Mr Robert Gordon, British Ambassador to Vietnam was present
and paid a glowing tribute to the Charity and all that it
has achieved under Paul Cleves’ leadership. The Chairman
of the Trustees of SCC, Howard Gatiss announced that the Trustees
had invited Cleves to join the Board.
In his valedictory speech Cleves said:
“Saigon Children’s Charity is now well established.
SCC is well known in Saigon and across Vietnam. In fact our
name is known, respected and trusted around the world. That
has been my contribution. I have done my job. So now it is
time to hand over the running of the Charity to someone new.”
The party was sponsored by Frasers, Toggee and the Caravelle
Hotel.
The Trustees have appointed Paul Finnis to take over from
Paul Cleves as Director.
Paul Finnis has been working in the voluntary and community
sector in England with organisations such as Age Concern,
Mencap and the Mental Health Foundation. In the past five
years Paul has worked as a consultant to a wide range of charities
helping them with income generation, developing strategies,
research, planning and management. Paul Finnis is admirably
qualified by experience, motivation and many outstanding personal
qualities to lead the Charity forward in the years to come.
