Many children
in rural areas have to walk up to 10 km
each way everyday to school because they
don’t have a bicycle. Therefore it
is easily understandable that: •
Many children miss their
classes in the rainy season or •
Many children drop out
of school early especially when they move
from primary to secondary school,
which may be much further from home.
Saigon Children’s Charity gives bicycles
to needy children to help keep them longer
at school.
