November 2016, Fuji Xerox Vietnam Company Limited embarks on delivering nearly 100 bicycles to disadvantaged students in the Children Development Programme of SCC. This project aims to bring more opportunities for disadvantaged children to go to school, which helps to motivate them to strive for a brighter future.
Life for children across Vietnam can be difficult, especially so in rural areas of the country. Many difficulties must be overcome to attain an education. Challenges include cost, time needed to financially support families and distance. In some rural regions, children must travel distances of up to ten kilometres a day, by foot, to attend school. Therefore, Fuji Xerox’s contribution of bicycles to nearly 100 disadvantaged children will be a great motivation towards encouraging them to continue going to school.
