On 10 November 2006,
Abbott and SCC opened two new classrooms in Dong Nai.
The brick-built school serves 70 children aged 6-9 in
classes 1 and 2.
This is a typical
SCC school – a small primary school in a poor
and remote area. It is where we can ensure a small help
can achieve much. We believe building schools like this
one is the best way to help children escape from poverty
and thrive. SCC also provides 125 scholarships to children
in this commune to help them go to school.

As a commitment to
“make a difference in the community”, Abbott
became a sponsor of this project early this year when
they recognised at this school a need “to provide
a more favourable condition for children’s education”,
explained Mr Vincent Ng, General Manager of Abbott in
Vietnam.
