“I come from a fishing village of Ninh Thuan province. My father is a fisherman. He works very hard and long hours but his income is unstable. My mother stays at home, taking care of my grandparent and my brother. I wanted to have a job to support my father. I went to Saigon in 2016 and worked for a small restaurant. But I could not become a team leader due to lacking of skill. My friend introduced me to Saigonchildren™ hospitality course. I could study in the morning and work at night. I was taught not only English but also other soft skills such as: communication skill, professional working attitude… Currently, I am working at Citadel Saigon – an authentic Vietnamese cuisine,well-known restaurant in town where I can meet a lot of foreign customers. I can make more money to support my family now. My goal is to become a team caption and later I can work on a voyage to go around the world.”
