By the end of 2021, saigonchildren had awarded more than 41,000 scholarships, built more than 200 schools and nearly 600 new classrooms, supported 35,000 children in disadvantaged circumstances with career counselling, and benefited 12,000 children with disabilities through our special education programme. Most notably, in 2021, not only did we continue to provide support to children through our aforementioned core programmes, we also provided emergency support to 50,000 people in disadvantaged circumstances affected by Covid-19 in Vietnam.

One of the reasons behind saigonchildren’s success in 2021 is becoming a member of CAF America.
CAF America, part of CAF Global Alliance, enables cross-border giving by Americans to validated charities and charitable projects across the world. Through donor-advised giving and organisational validation protocols, CAF enables donors to make strategic, cost-effective, and tax-advantaged gifts while reducing the risk, reputation exposure, and administrative burden associated with cross-border giving.

Additionally, CAF America also delivers a unique bundle of essential services such as validating Saigon Children’s Charity as a reputable organisation, a cross-border giving policy, and a global charity database for their valued donor community. Through CAF America, Saigonchildren has been vetted and verified, ensuring that all support from donors is used for the intended purposes.
In 2021, through CAF America, saigonchildren has received:

Saigonchildren is trusted by major donors thanks to this partnership with prestigious organisations in the network. From here, we will continue to work with sponsors, not only in the country, but all over the world, to provide support to children in disadvantaged circumstances in Vietnam so they can study and develop to their full potential.
