A school library meeting standards is not only the dream of most students but also a gateway to the world of knowledge and aspirations. Particularly for children from low-income areas, the school library is a precious resource for expanding horizons and accessing knowledge. This time, the “Growing Great Minds” campaign by Saigon Children’s Charity aims to renovate the existing library space at Can Thanh Elementary School. The project will equip the library with more tables and shelves, provide books and other educational materials, and organise trainings for staff and teachers to promote the children’s love of reading.
Located in Can Thanh town, Can Gio district, it serves as the learning environment for 470 students aged 6 – 11 and the daily teaching ground for 17 teachers. Over time, the school library, despite being a favorite hangout for the students, has become outdated with yellowed walls, peeling ceilings, and moldy books. Through this campaign, we aim to provide fresh facilities and new books for the library and create an engaging and creative space where the love for books is nurtured and cultivated every day.
