This core objective has been step by step achieved through a series of projects developing educational infrastructure (upgrading and building new), building the capacity of local authorities and teachers in running public projects, as well as directly sponsoring a number of children via scholarships to better prepare them for the future.

To date (Mar 2017), three kindergartens, Vinh Vien A, Tra Long and Luong Tam have been in operation, more than 140 kids are enjoying their new schools.

In addition, four primary schools have been put into use and construction of a fifth primary school is underway. More than 680 students are enjoying new classrooms and performing better. The schools were constructed with appropriate design, high quality building structure and materials in order to create a suitable, child friendly and well-equipped learning environment for the kids.

In addition to building and enhancing school infrastructure, Project 3E also focuses on improving the education quality.

4 secondary schools in Long My district, namely Vinh Thuan Dong, Vinh Vien A, Luong Nghia and Luong Tam secondary schools had received 59 computers donated by ANZ, which meant that nearly 2,000 children at those schools could learn basic IT Skills and have greater opportunities to enjoy learning and reach their full potential.

Also, in the past 2 years, 300 disadvantaged students in Long My, Hau Giang, received scholarships from ANZ. The scholarships help their families to release from study burden and they could be more attentive to their study at school.

The ANZ’s tirelessly journey of “providing access to quality schooling in a sustainable way” is moving faster and stronger than ever.

On Sunday 5th March 2017, ANZ colleagues, friends, families and customers across the regions will embark on the ‘The Great ANZ Cycle Ride’ in an attempt to fundraise US$50,000 to reach their goal of building ten schools and helping 4,000 kids by the end of this year.
