On 29/05/2014, students from Saigon Hospitality and Thang Long English and Vocational Training school had a social trip to Cu Chi.

SCC’s students had pictures at HCMC Vocational Training Centre for orphans and children with disabilities.

All the students had a day with great fun. Firstly, our students had a chance to visit HCMC Vocational Training Centre for orphans and children with disabilities in Hoc Mon. They were walked through its history and activities. After that, they paid a visit to vocational classes such as art, sculpture, electrics, sewing, clay flower making, and goldsmithing. They had time to help and try these for themselves. Some of them helped with clay flower making, others gave a hand with the physiotherapy. Finally, they performed their songs with students at the Centre. Exciting atmosphere dissolved in their innocent singings. Our students admired their friends’ strengths very much. They promised that they would remember those strong wills in everything they do. Students shared their gifts among themselves before leaving.

In the afternoon, students relaxed at Cu Chi waterpark. They had a great day playing in the fresh water.
Later, they joined in harvesting vegetables at North-West Cu Chi Industrial Park. They were so excited for their first time as a farmer. Furthermore, they were allowed to bring home what they had harvested as well!

The trip has ended well and brought to our students many new and exciting experiences. They hope that SCC could organize more and more trips like this for them to play and learn!
