In An Giang Province, Lương Thế Vinh, Phan Bội Châu, and Võ Trường Toản secondary schools serve a large number of students. This places greater demands on the facilities needed to support learning, including computer rooms for Informatics.
Although computer rooms had been installed years ago, the equipment varied in configuration, and many machines had gradually deteriorated over time. As a result, they were no longer able to effectively meet learning needs, especially as Informatics has become a compulsory subject.
In response to this, through the partnership between saigonchildren and UOB, along with contributions from employees, volunteers, and participants of the UOB Heartbeat Run 2025, three computer rooms were upgraded and put into use in March 2026.

This initiative is part of saigonchildren’s School Building and Learning Environment Programme. In total, 58 computer sets (including three servers), along with desks and chairs, were provided to the schools. As a result, more students now have the opportunity for hands-on practice during lessons, rather than having to share or rely on outdated equipment.

Following the handover ceremony, students also took part in an interactive digital literacy activity. Through a Kahoot quiz covering basic knowledge on using technology safely and effectively, they were able to learn while having fun in an engaging and lively atmosphere.
With over 2,100 students each year, upgrading the computer rooms not only increases opportunities for hands-on practice, but also enables students to access online learning platforms, computer-based assessments, and technology-related competitions. Through this, they gradually develop essential digital skills, while also becoming more confident in engaging with technology and better prepared for future opportunities.
