Last week, almost 80 parents with autistic children attended the “Early intervention for children with autism” workshop 1, focusing on language and communication. The event started with a talk about the development of children’s comprehension and communication by Speech and Language Therapist Stephanie Love, equipping parents with extensive knowledge about their children’s linguistic abilities. Afterwards, parents had the opportunity to exchange inquiries with experts regarding general childcare as well as specific cases, which were thoroughly explained. Moreover, the conference also provided practical techniques to resolve difficulties encountered while raising autistic children.
