Saigonchildren to partner with Vietnam Is Awesome for U-GO Far 2025

As the U-GO Far cycling challenge 2025 gears up to welcome more participants, saigonchildren is delighted to see growing interest and support from communities and partners who wish to contribute to the event’s meaningful cause in their own ways.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Vietnam Is Awesome (ViA), a community platform that connects Vietnamese locals, expatriates living in Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese, and international travellers. Through its online platform as well as community events and activities spanning tourism, culture, entertainment, sports, education, personal development, and business-investment opportunities, VIA creates lasting connections, learning opportunities, and shared growth for all members, while also promoting the beauty of Vietnam to the world.

Through this collaboration, VIA will host special fundraising events and contribute to the U-GO Far scholarship fund even before the ride takes place in November, starting with the Legends United Charity Football Tournament this September, co-organised with Vietnam Bike Fest (a community for motor enthusiasts in Vietnam).

This event will bring together football legends, media personalities, expats, Việt Kiều, and local teams in a thrilling 7-a-side tournament. Beyond launching long-term community programmes to inspire and nurture the next generation of young football players in Vietnam, the tournament will also embed a meaningful cause: raising significant funds for saigonchildren through registrations, sponsorships, and donations, all contributing to the U-GO Far fund.

The tournament will be the first of several activities leading up to November’s ride. And thanks to the 1:1 matching fund from U-GO, every contribution will be doubled, making twice the impact for disadvantaged girls in Vietnam and Cambodia.

“As for why we support saigonchildren, it aligns with the core values of Vietnam Is Awesome, a community where people come together to support and connect with one another. Supporting younger generations is an essential part of our vision, and we believe that by helping saigonchildren, we can contribute to empowering these children and helping them build a better future. We feel deeply connected to the mission of giving children the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, and it’s our way of giving back to the community that has supported us,” said a ViA representative.
