Leave a Legacy

“After taking care of loved ones, consider saigonchildren in your will and create the change that lasts for generations.”

What is a Legacy Gift?

A legacy gift is a planned donation to a charity, usually made through a will. It is a personal decision, made as part of your own financial planning. Some people leave a gift so that their memory lives on. For others, it is a way to make sure the causes they care about can carry on their work.

Why leave a gift in your will?

Looking back on the people and moments that shaped our lives, it is natural to think about the future, and about how our impact can reach further. A gift in your will lets you provide for your loved ones, and also for children who need support the most.

Whether it is a share of your estate or a fixed sum, large or small, your gift helps us keep supporting disadvantaged children in Vietnam for years to come. We know this is a big personal decision. Small steps taken now can make a lasting difference.

Ways to leave a gift

  • A share of your estate. You leave a percentage of what remains after your family and friends have been provided for.
  • A fixed sum. You leave a set amount of money. You may wish to ask your solicitor about wording that allows for inflation.
  • A specific item. You leave an asset, such as shares or property. These gifts can be complicated, so please talk to your adviser and us first.

Choose where your gift goes, or leave it unrestricted. Most people leave an unrestricted gift, which lets us use it where children need it most at the time. If you would like your gift to support a particular area, such as scholarships or a school building, you can say so. Please speak to us first, so that we can make sure your wishes can be carried out.
